Supporting our communities through 5600 volunteer hours

11 November, 2019

Last December, GiG announced it was giving one day off to every team member to volunteer in local communities and charities. That’s equivalent to 5,600 hours of our 700+ team members’ time in Malta, Denmark, Norway and Spain put toward making a positive and sustainable impact in their communities each year.

Many of our team members have been using their GiG Gives day so far including Adolfo Luzardo Cabrera in our Marbella office who volunteered at Aloha Life, helping those with special needs to enjoy a fun activity in a natural environment. We’re also looking at ways to bring larger groups together to make use of their day, for example, the World Cleanup Day (21 September). They’ll be able to contribute to their local community by cleaning up streets, beaches or local parks.

The GiG Gives programme also supports colleagues in giving donations, for example through our coffee donations scheme as well as offering colleagues paid volunteer days.

Our vision and commitment is to make iGaming fair and fun for all. We focus our sustainability strategy on areas most relevant to our business, at the heart of which is responsible gambling. GiG’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is set to have a significant and positive impact on the communities where we operate.
