We are looking for a Database Expert who ensures performance, integrity and security of a database.

Key responsibilities
- Maintains database environments; applies updates, maintenance packs, patches, & fixes for all environments.
- Provides data, SQL and general database assistance and guidance to developers, IT support and QA teams.
- Refreshes databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
- Performs database administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, index maintenance, system optimization, security reviews, and disaster recovery.
- Applies data repairs as needed in production and non-production environments.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
You are structured and able to have several tasks in motion at the same time and experience of working with B2B partners and manage expectations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MySQL Database Administration
- Highly motivated, driven & hard working
- A fan of automation, Database Reliability Engineering, and observability
- Experience with production support and manipulating data as needed.
- Experience with important Data volume manipulation and performance optimization.
- Experience in database replications and Master-Slave configurations in order to provide high availability.
- Must be able to work weekends as needed and an on-call rotation.
- Experience in the Scrum or other Agile framework.
- General organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to write, modify, and review queries and advise others on best practices of query development.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or relevant quantitative fields
