Technical Lead

The Technical Lead is someone who is responsible for leading technical aspects of software development flow with different development teams. It is crucial that a good Technical Lead guides and assists development teams with the planning and design of a solution and its improvements, and to ensure the success of delivered solutions. They must assure that teams use appropriate engineering practices, invest in continual improvements, and focus on the technical growth and quality of team members and the system

Responsibilities

  • Evolutionary collaboration in the design over “godsent” blueprinting
  • Understanding the deficiencies within the codebase and finding the best way to improve it in a practical and pragmatic manner
  • Having a broader understanding of how software fits into the overall system; a good understanding of how software is deployed, managed, and operated in any environment
  • Working hand in hand with Solutions Architects and other Technical Leads; mediating technical debates, participating in building solutions for performance optimisations, and leading discussions on decisions that might constrain or broaden future architectural choices
  • Ensures the development teams follow good programming principles and directions of the company
  • Coaching and influencing development teams, leading them towards good engineering practices, agile practices and personal growth while providing frequent feedback
  • Collaborating with different business functions and stakeholders, and find ways for non-technical people to understand technical concepts
  • Pursue technical mentoring opportunities from other Tech Leads, and Solutions Architects across the organization
  • Delivering high level models of the requirements and capture ideas in detail with working code
  • Designing and collaborating with the rest of the team to determine small releases to the granular daily routine level
  • Be responsible for the full software life cycle: design, development, test, deploy, operate, and support

Skill Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development experience within a team environment
  • At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Orleans
  • Experience in leadership roles and/or mentoring
  • Experience in using a Microservice based Architecture
  • In depth knowledge of C# and .NET Core
  • Deep knowledge of Event Driven systems using Kafka
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines in a production environment
  • Practicing testing as a first class citizen
  • Ability to convey information effectively and demonstrating active listening
  • Understanding of team dynamics and how to be an effective leader
  • Flexible enough to balance business needs with the technical direction
  • Previous experience in the iGaming / Banking industry
  • Experience in Kubernetes as medium for containerization
