IT Administrator Intern

Our Corporate IT team is responsible for providing comprehensive support to our organization’s technology infrastructure and users. From managing user requests through our Jira Service Desk to maintaining servers, network, and user workstations, we ensure smooth operations on a daily basis. We handle everything from onboarding and offboarding employees to troubleshooting laptop issues and software glitches. Additionally, we oversee procurement, asset inventory, and various projects aimed at enhancing our systems. As an intern, they will have the opportunity to shadow and assist team members in these projects, including automation initiatives utilizing scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, as well as network and server administration tasks. What can you get involved in?

As an IT Administrator Intern in the Corporate IT department, you will be an integral part of our team responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of IT support, including user assistance, system administration, network management, procurement, and project involvement.

User Support:

  • Respond to and resolve tickets submitted through our Jira Service Desk.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve laptop issues, including hardware and software problems.
  • Facilitate laptop replacements and upgrades as needed.
  • Address software-related issues, including installations, configurations, and licenses.

Procurement and Asset Management:

  • Assist with the procurement process for laptops, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets.
  • Coordinate asset tracking, tagging, and disposal processes.

Workstation Setup and Maintenance:

  • Set up and configure end-user workstations, including operating system installations.
  • Ensure workstations meet security and compliance standards.

Project Involvement:

  • Collaborate on various IT projects aimed at improving systems and processes.
  • Participate in automation initiatives using scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

Who you are (required skills) :

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Able to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours to 30 hours a week
  • Ability to learn fast and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team-player
  • Interest in IT support, system administration, and technology
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Studying a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a relevant area.
