Financial Data Analyst

The Role

 

You will play a crucial role in analyzing and presenting financial data to the management, helping them to make informed decisions. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the finance department as well as building and maintaining a business partnership relationship with different GIG departments.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, forecasts and operational metrics)
  • Prepare monthly reporting pack to be presented to the management 
  • Report on financial performance with the respective units and departments
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with budgets and forecasts
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Identify and drive process improvements and process automation, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • 1-2 years experience of business finance or other relevant field
  • High proficiency in business analytical techniques. Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (such as Power BI, Tableau etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which will enable the candidate to be comfortable while interacting with executive-level management
  • Computer literacy skills with advanced knowledge of Excel to effectively prepare detailed and accurate presentations using spreadsheets
  • Strong competency and analytical skills to identify problems and come up with solutions on time
  • Well-developed financial intelligence to handle financial issues efficiently
  • Ability to handle large sets of data, understand data integrity and provide for data automation
  • Previous experience working with Navision will be considered an asset

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently and with several teams
  • Experience working with, and presenting to upper management
  • Good understanding of financial data
  • Ability to work independently
